Satyagraha cast to celebrate Independence Day in Delhi

The star cast of upcoming Bollywood film Satyagraha is likely to head towards Delhi on the Independence day, August 15 to promote the political drama. Satyagraha is directed by Prakash Jha. The tagline for the film is 'Democracy Under Fire'. Current situations in the society inspired Jha to make this film.

The cast of the movie includes Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. "The team is planning to head towards Delhi for Independence Day, which will be a perfect way to promote the film. Nothing is confirmed right now, but talks are on," revealed a source close to the team.

The trailer of the film urges people to stand up for their rights. The film's plot is said to revolve around the uprising middle class against a corrupt and unjust system. This leads to a big movement that challenges the system.

In this political thriller, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a new Gandhi. His character is of a man who is a firm believer of truth and an inherent believer of society. There are different aspects of politics, ideologies, clashes and threats brought into this film. Satyagraha is said to portray people raw and unleashed anger. This much awaited film is slated for release on August 30.
