Shahrukh's Raees Is A Period Crime Action Film

Shahrukh Khan strikes a great balance by keeping both his mainstream and off beat fans happy by carefully choosing his movies. The actor will be seen in Rahul Dholakia's Raess as a bootlegger. The film that is a period crime drama has Farhan Akthar in its cast list too ! Farhan is playing a cop in the film.

Dholakia is super thrilled about his upcoming movie and revealed that the film is set in the 1980s and is based on true life events. As the film draws from real life sources, it is also rumoured that Farhan's cop character is also inspired from real life. Dholakia added "I have taken elements from here and there to add to his character from a cop who has passed away."

Raees, a period crime drama, needs a lot of preparation for its look and styling and Dholakia is busy working on it now. He informed the media that he is finalizing the cast and crew of the film."There are a lot of people in mind, but I still haven't confirmed anyone. There is still a lot of time to finalise the crew," he added.

Gujarat, most likely, will be the major location for this Rahul Dholakia- Shahrukh Khan film. Dholakia said "I plan to shoot Raees extensively in old Ahmedabad and some parts of Saurashtra as I have spent a lot of time there." While quizzed about the rumoured negative shade of Shahrukh's character, he funnily said "it has 50 shades".
