Shuddh Desi Romance Heads For Torornto International Film Festival

Shuddh Desi Romance starring Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput is heading for a Red Carpet Premiere at the esteemed Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2013.

The officials at Yash Raj Films (YRF) are delighted with this latest news. The entire crew hopes that the film will strike the right chords with the audiences. "We believe the film is perfect for Toronto, as it is a film that is rooted in rustic India and the characters are very contemporary in their thought, which will no doubt appeal to the diaspora but also the more mainstream audiences," Avtar Panesar, vice president (International Operations), YRF, said in a statement.

The screening of the film will be held on September 11 this year. The event will take place at the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.This special screening will be attended by Sushant, Parineeti, the director of Shuddh Desi Romance Maneesh Sharma, writer Jaideep Sahni and debutant Vaani Kapoor.

Shuddh Desi Romance is a fresh narrative about love, attraction and commitment. The first trailer of the film which was launched in Jaipur's Raj Mandir gave everyone a taste of the movie. In the film, Sushant plays the role casual Boy-next-door Raghu and Parineeti Chopra plays the bold role of Gayatri.
