Mumbai:
Dabangg
girl
Sonakshi
Sinha,
who
has
done
her
second
item
number
in
an
upcoming
film,
says
she
hopes
to
become
"queen
of
item
songs" in
Bollywood.
Sonakshi
has
done
a
special
number
'Thank
God
Its
Friday'
in
director
Sajid
Khan's
Himmatwala,
which
is
a
disco
song
of
the
80s.
Sonakshi
has
done
an
item
number
in
Akshay
Kumar's
Oh
My
God,
alongside
Prabhu
Deva,
which
was
released
last
year.
When
she
was
asked
if
she
is
looking
forward
to
be
the
next
item
queen,
Sonakshi
said
that
she
hopes
to
become
one
and
she
like
dancing
and
music.
If
some
good
song
comes
her
way
she
will
do
it.
She
also
said
that
both
songs
in
the
movies
OMG
and
Himmatwala
are
different.
The
latest
retro
song
reminds
yesteryear
actresses
Parveen
Babi
and
Sridevi.
Sonakshi
said,
"We
have
been
inspired
by
what
Parveen
Babi
wore
in
Shaan
and
Sridevi's
looks
in
Chaalbaaz."
Sonakshi
is
also
seen
doing
Michael
Jackson's
famous
moonwalk
step
in
the
retro
song.
She
said
that
as
a
child
she
used
to
see
Michael
Jackson's
videos
and
was
imitating
him.
"I
did
not
have
to
do
much
preparation
for
the
song.
I
have
seen
these
kind
of
disco
songs.
Also
people
say
I
have
this
old
world
charm...so
I
have
used
that," she
added.
Sajid
said,
"For
us
Sonakshi
was
the
first
and
only
choice
for
the
song.
If
she
had
not
agreed
we
would
not
have
done
it." Sonakshi
had
also
performed
live
on
a
special
disco
song
at
a
lounge
in
suburban
Bandra.
Even
Sajid
shook
his
leg
on
the
song.
Though
the
film's
music
is
being
done
by
Sajid-Wajid,
the
music
for
this
particular
song,
which
is
sung
by
Sunidhi
Chauhan,
has
been
reportedly
composed
by
Sachin-Jigar.
Himmatwala
stars
Ajay
Devgn
and
Tamannaah
in
the
lead
roles.
The
movie
will
hit
the
cinema
screens
on
March
29.
