Jiah Khan's Suicide: Suraj Pancholi in police custody till 13th June

Mumbai: Mumbai court on Tuesday sent Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj Pancholi to police custody till 13th June in connection to Jiah Khan's suicide. Mumbai police had arrested Suraj on Monday.

Jiah Khan committed suicide by hanging herself in her Juhu apartment. Earlier, the police had only registered a case of accidental death claiming that Jiah was depressed due to her failed career in Bollywood. However, everything turned upside down after a handwritten note by Jiah was found by her mother Rabia Amin Khan and sisters. In the note, Jiah wrote that she had suffered physical and mental trauma. She also wrote she was raped and abused by Suraj Pancholi.

Suraj was arrested after Jiah's mother filed a complaint alleging he was the reason behind Jiah Khan's suicide.

Rabia also wrote on social networking site, "Some sections of the media and some film industry people are speculating that my daughter Jiah committed suicide because of depression related to her career. However, the truth is that it happened only because of the trauma and the abuse she suffered at the hands of Suraj Pancholi and his father Aditya Pancholi."
