Actor-turned-producer
Uday
Chopra
intends
to
make
a
documentary
on
his
late
filmmaker
father
Yash
Chopra.
The
Chopra
family
went
through
personal
crisis
after
the
demise
of
legendary
filmmaker
Yash
Chopra
last
year.
"I
want
to
make
a
documentary
but
I
don't
want
to
do
a
regular
one.
I
have
spoken
to
a
few
people
and
I
want
to
do
something
different.
I
want
somebody
who
can
crack
something
that
will
be
unique.
It
is
great
to
immortalise
someone
like
him," Uday
told
PTI
in
an
interview.
"Dad
was
a
filmmaker.
If
I
make
a
documentary
on
him
it
has
to
be
about
films
and
it
should
be
good
enough
for
people
who
don't
even
know
Yash
Chopra
to
watch
it
and
love
it.
They
should
feel
it
is
an
interesting
documentary.
I
can
do
a
labour
of
love
in
a
month's
time.
But
my
intention
is
not
that,
I
want
people
to
watch
it
universally
and
love
it,"
he
said.
In
September
this
year,
as
a
mark
of
tribute
to
the
Yash
Chopra
on
his
birth
anniversary,
nine
actresses,
who
have
been
a
part
of
his
films,
came
together
to
salute
the
legendary
filmmaker.
Superstar
Shahrukh
Khan
and
leading
ladies
Rekha,
Sridevi,
Madhuri
Dixit,
Rani
Mukherjee,
Juhi
Chawla,
Preity
Zinta,
Katrina
Kaif,
Anushka
Sharma
and
Parineeti
Chopra
walked
the
ramp
at
YRF
studio
for
a
fashion
show.
"There
will
be
something
different
every
year
on
his
birthday.
It
is
too
early
to
say
what
we
will
do.
But
we
will
surely
do
something
to
commemorate
him,"
Uday
said.
Though
it's
been
over
a
year
since
Chopra
passed
away,
it
has
been
very
tough
for
Uday
to
get
over
it.
