Actor Aamir Khan who has also acquired the tag of being a social activist from the show Satyamev Jayate has been alleged of forcing some residents of Mumbai to sell their apartments to him as the actor wants to build up a bungalow for himself there.
In a report published in a national daily, it has been stated that an aged woman and her daughter residing in Mumbai's Bandra area have alleged that the managing committee of Virgo Co-operative Housing Soceity has been pressuring them to sell 60 percent of the property to Aamir Khan so that the star can construct a bungalow there.
The duo ladies identified as Pamela de sa (87) and her daughter Geneva de sa (50) have also filed a complaint to the deputy registrar of co-operative societies claiming the offer as a "falsely conceived redevelopment scheme".
The Satyamev Jayate host allegedly wants atleast 20,000 sq ft of the total 36,207 sq ft area to build up his bungalow in exchange of Rs 70,000 per sq ft. The offer also included a provision that Aamir will build a separate building on the rest of the plot for those who are not willing to sell their premises. Geneva also alleged that some of the residents agreed to the offer as it was presented like a redevelopment scheme but actually the offer is to sell the property to Aamir.
The duo ladies alleged that as Aamir desires to build up his mansion in the area, the managing committee of the society has been continuously putting pressure on the residents to sell off their apartments and garages to the star.
Well, at a time when Aamir has earned high regards from all his fans with his truth digging show Satyamev Jayate, such allegations on the star surely comes up as a real shocker. Aamir is also preparing for his upcoming movie PK directed by Rajkumar Hirani and is scheduled to release on June 2014.
