Like any other aspiring actor, our small screen heros also wanted to make it big on the silver screen. To pursue their dream, actors said goodbye to television. But not many of them managed to taste success at the box office. Actor Amar Upadhyay who became a household name with the serial Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi made silent exit from television, but the actor is yet to find a place for himself in Bollywood.
Another actor Eijaz Khan also left the television industry to became a star in Bollywood. Unfortunately his debut film is yet to release. Actor who was supposed to make his debut with the film Lucky Kabootar, has been seen doing small roles in films like Thakshak, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, Kuch Na Kaho and Zila Ghaziabad. Eijaz also made a comeback on television but failed to create magic for the second time.
Like his contemporaries actor Rajeev Khandelwal also tried his luck at the box office.The actor was critically acclaimed for his role in the debut movie Aamir and the actor was signed for a couple of films. His last released film was Samrat & Co.,which couldn't save his sinking career in Bollywood.
Following his footsteps actress Aamna Sharif also made her entry in Bollywood with the film Aloo Chat which received mixed response but the actress succeeded to bag few movies. She was last seen in the film Ek Villain in which played the role of Ritesh Deshmukh's wife.
Anita Hassanandani was launched by her best friend producer Ekta Kapoor. Anita made her Bollywood debut with the film Kuch To Hai which featured actor Tusshar Kapoor and Esha Deol in the lead roles. Even after getting launched by producer Ekta Kapoor, Anita's career in Bollywood failed.
