Alia Takes KJo's Advice On Career

Actress Alia Bhatt who gave two back to back hit films after her debut said that she doesn't consult anyone in the family when it comes to taking decision about her film career.

Instead of looking up to filmmaker dad Mahesh Bhatt or sister Pooja Bhatt, the Highway actress likes to take the opinion of filmmaker Karan Johar. Alia made her debut with the film Student of the Year which was directed by Karan Johar.

Alia said, "I take my own decisions when it comes to choosing films. I go with my instinct and if there is anybody that I need to talk to, it'll be Karan Johar."

The bubbly actress have already made her in entry into the 100-crore club with the film 2 States, in which she was paired opposite actor Arjun Kapoor. In the film (2 States), Alia played the role of a Tamil brahmin girl Ananya, who fell in love with a Punjabi boy Krish. Alia did some bold scenes with Arjun in the film.

Not only Alia but her co-star Varun Dhawan also takes his own decisions. Varun, also have the acting genes in his blood but, the actor doesn't feel like taking anyone's advice while choosing a film.
Not even from his daddy, director David Dhawan.

Varun was quoted saying, "No not really advice. Once I have chosen the role and if he knows the character, then he will probably tell me a few films in the past, probably some references. Thats it! But I never take anyone's advice to choose a role or film."

Alia and Varun are paired opposite each other in the film Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania which will hit theatres on July 11, 2014.

Film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and is produced by Karan Johar.
