Bhandarkar Finishes Fifty Percent Of 'Calendar Girls'

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who started his new project Calendar Girls with five new faces in July, has completed fifty percent of its shooting.

Madhur Bhandarkar who is known to have directed films with strong messages has started Calendar Girls with five new faces. The filmmaker took it to his Twitter account to share the news about his Calendar Girls.

"#CalendarGirls reaches the halfway mark today! 50 percent shooting complete and going strong," Bhandarkar tweeted.

He also felt a sense of deja vu.

"In 2004, I was shooting #Page 3 with a cast of newcomers. Exactly 10 years later, am shooting #CalendarGirls, again with newcomers. Deja Vu," added the National Award winner, who had earlier said that his endeavour with Calendar Girls is to offer purposeful entertainment to film aficionados.

Bhandarkar, who has helmed films like Fashion and Corporate, last directed the 2012 movie Heroine featuring Kareena Kapoor.

Madhur Bhandarkar had earlier said, "While we were looking for glamorous girls, it was important that they act well too since the film is heavy on content. I am happy that we managed to get the right cast."

The secrecy about the cast is maintained very strictly and the film is being shot at exotic locations abroad to give the right amount of glamour and glitz.
