Bollywood's
own
bad
boy,
Salman
Khan
appeared
before
sessions
court
for
his
2002
hit-and-run
case.
The
trail
is
again
post
poned
as
the
the
witness
didn't
present
himself
before
the
court
on
last
week.
Prosecution
was
about
to
examine
first
three
witnesses
today.
Court
now
has
postponed
the
trail
to
April
28.
One
of
the
witnesses
was
a
laundry
owner
operating
from
suburban
Bandra
where
the
star
had
run
over
his
car
on
people
sleeping
on
the
footpath.
The
other
two
witnesses
in
this
case
are
panch
witnesses.
On
Decemeber
5
last
year,
the
sessions
court
had
ordered
for
a
fresh
trail
as
the
the
witnesses
of
this
case
had
not
been
examined
in
the
context
of
aggravated
charge
of
culpable
homicide
which
was
charged
against
the
star
midway
through
the
case
proceedings.
The
punishment
on
the
charge
of
culpable
homicide
not
amounting
to
murder
can
be
a
10-year
sentence.
Salman,
as
the
alleged
accused
in
the
case,
was
tried
by
a
magistrate
earlier
for
a
lesser
offence
of
causing
death
by
negligence,
which
attracted
only
two
years
of
imprisonment.
This
case
has
been
dragging
around
for
almost
a
decade
and
when
the
charge
of
culpable
homicide
is
taken
into
the
case,
it
has
got
another
terrific
twist
which
can
even
affect
the
career
of
the
actor.
