Ek Villain: Superb Start, Earns Rs.16.72 Crores On First Day

Film Ek Villain is the second highest opener of the year 2014. Film starring actor Ritesh Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor earned Rs.16.72 crores on the opening day.

Not only the critics but, the audience also gave thumbs up to the film, specially to actor Ritesh Deshmukh.

Ritesh played a negative role for the first time in his career. Even though the actor Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor gave their best it was Ritesh who grabs all the limelight.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "first day figures of ‘Ek Villain', "#EkVillain Fri ₹ 16.72 cr nett [2539 screens]. India biz. Second highest opener of 2014. In terms of screen average, it's HIGHEST. AWESOME!"

Earlier, Taran Adarsh had said that the film (Ek Villain) will come as a shocker to many. Taran tweeted, "#EkVillain opening day figures [STUPENDOUS] will come as a shocker for many. This film takes Mohit Suri in an altogether different league."

With the film started off well, Bollywood poured in to congratulated the team of Ek Villain. Actor Ritesh Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra along with director Mohit Suri were seen celebrating their success.
