Emraan Hashmi will be flying to Toronto today with wife Parveen Shahani and son Ayan for further treatment of his four-year old child. Ayan was recently diagnosed with a malignant tumour in his kidney.
Emraan Hashmi's son Ayan underwent a surgery on January 15 to remove the tumour. The doctor then adviced the family to take the child to Toronto for further treatment. Speaking about his grand nephew Ayan, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said,"We have consulted the best doctors for Ayan's treatment and luckily for us, his prognosis look good. In fact, doctors tell us that in 99 percent of cases, children diagnosed with first stage cancer can be successfully cured."
Emraan, who was supposed to start shooting for Vikram Bhatt's film, Mr X by January 15 has cancelled all his shootings and postponed it for the next month. He has decided to devote his time to his ailing son. Ayan will be admitted in one of the best children's hospitals in Toronto. Both Emraan and his wife Parveen will be put up at the hospital for two weeks after which they will return to Mumbai.
Ayan Hashmi was detected with first stage cancer a while ago. The doctor had then told Emraan and his wife that the bone marrow scan clearly shows that the little boy has a malignant tumour in his kidney and had added that it is curable since it is first-stage cancer.
