Star Guild Awards 2014: Farhan Akthar Wins Best Actor Award

Farhan Akthar, who has been raved for his outstanding performance in the film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag time and again has bagged the Best Actor Award at Renault Star Guild Awards 2014. The award was given away last night (January 16) at a grand ceremony attended by who's who of the industry.

Winning the award for the best actor at Star Guild Award 2014 was definitely not very easy for Farhan Akthar. There was tough competition in the Best Actor Award category. The films nominated in this category were as follows:

- Farhan Akhtar - Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
- Ranbir Kapoor - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
- Ranveer Singh - Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela
- Irrfan Khan - The Lunchbox
- Rajkummar Rao - Shahid
- Sushant Singh Rajput - Kai Po Che!

Farhan Akthar had worked very hard on this biopic and even tried looking like the sportsperson Milkha Singh! Farhan very well deserved the award!

One of the biggest blockbuster of 2013, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag that raked in more than 100 crores also won eight awards, including best film, best director and best actor trophy for Farhan Akhtar for portraying former athlete Milkha Singh. The film was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
