Filmfare 2014: Kai Po Che Bags Best Screenplay Award

Bollywood's critically acclaimed movie Kai Po Che has bagged The Best Screenplay Award in Idea Filmfare Awards 2014. The film released in February 2013 was based on the novel ‘Three mistakes of my life,' which was written by Chetan Bhagat.

Abhishek Kapoor, Pubali Chaudhari, Supratik Sen and Chethan Bhagat, who have worked for the screenplay of the movie have been felicitated with the Award. Kai Po Che was directed by Abhishek Kapoor, which deals with the story of three close pals.

Kai Po Che, which was set in the backdrop of Ahmedabad city, had Sushanth Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh, Rajkumar Rao and Amrita Puri in the key roles. The plot deals with three close friends, who wants to start their own sports academy to bring up the young budding cricket talent into light. The film tracks their deep friendship, and innocence tarnished by religious politics and communal hatred, which results in their fallout, and an eventual death.

Music director Amit Trivedi had scored the music for the movie, and Swanand Kirkire had penned the lyrics. Kai Po Che, which was made with the budget of Rs 30 crore, had approximately grossed Rs 48.4 crore at the Box Office Collection. Anay Goswani and Deepa Bhatia have done an amazing cinematography and editing for the movie, which was also in the limelight for excellent picture quality
