Govinda Is Alia Bhatt's On-Screen Father!

Seems like veteran actor Govinda is back in action. The actor will essay the role of father to actress Alia Bhatt in the upcoming film Shaandar. The film will be directed by Vikas Bahl, who received appreciation for his last movie Queen which released few months back.

On casting Govinda, sources close to the director said, "It's a comic role though not a large one. But Govinda responded positively to the script. He is perfect for the part and is quite excited about it as well. He's ready to play a father now because he knows that he cannot play, or get the romantic roles he did during the 90's."

As per reports, the film will be shot in Europe. However, director Bahl is tightlipped about the film. But, Govinda confirmed to be the part of the film and was quoted saying, "I've received a narration. It would be unprofessional to divulge any details at this point."

Before playing the role of father to Alia, veteran actor Govinda will be seen as a doting father to actor Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos.
