The team of Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year kept their promise by releasing the first look of the film on January 1st. The film by Farah Khan is scheduled to release during Diwali this year.

After an extremely high social media campaign, the first look of Happy New Year was released online with personalised messages for the fans and media. The poster was first sent to all fans and fan clubs on the social media sites as a gratification for their support.

Happy New Year will see the team of Farah Khan-Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone reunite after the 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om. The film directed by Farah Khan and produced under the Ted Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd banner also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in pivotal roles.

Happy New Year is a musical heist with Vishal and Shekhar having composed the music for the film. A huge social media campaign was set up for the launch of the first poster of the film and even the lead actors actively participated in the campaign. The film's social media platforms have been very active for quite some time now and their first topic 'wacky wishes' was trending on Twitter.
