The
29-year-old
along
with
Alia
Bhatt
and
Varun
Dhawan
was
mentored
by
filmmaker
Karan
Johar
and
all
three
have
tasted
success
since
their
debut
film.
When
asked
about
competing
with
each
other,
the
Ek
Villain
hero
told
IANS
in
a
telephonic
interview
from
Mumbai:
"Me,
Alia
and
Varun
feel
like
we've
gone
to
school
together.
Why
would
we
compete
among
ourselves
when
there's
so
much...."
"We
have
different
and
unique
styles
and
films.
It's
tough
to
make
friends
in
the
industry.
We
all
have...
I
want
to
see
Humpty
Sharma
Ki
Dulhania.
I've
heard
Alia
Bhatt's
song
recently
and
she
has
sung
really
well.
She
has
a
great
voice.
I
hope
it's
a
big
success," he
added.
Produced
by
Karan
and
directed
by
Shashank
Khaitan,
Humpty
Sharma
will
release
July
11.
The
film
features
Varun
Dhawan
as
Rakesh
Sharma
(Humpty)
and
Alia
Bhatt
as
Kavya
Pratap
Singh
in
lead
roles.
The
film
is
produced
by
Karan
Johar
and
directed
by
debutant
Shashank
Khaitan.
It
showcases
contemporary
Indian
family
and
is
devoid
of
melodrama
that
used
to
dominate
the
screen
earlier.
Varun
Dhawan
even
jokingly
said,
"In
Student
Of
The
Year
our
love
story
was
incomplete
as
we
didn't
walk
into
the
sunset
eventually.
Woh
Sidharth
beech
mein
aa
gaya.
Now
in
Humpty
Sharma...
though,
it
should
be
fun
for
audience
to
see
me
and
my
'dulhania'."Speaking
about
Alia,
Varun
added,
"She
has
clearly
grown
a
lot
as
an
actress;
the
kind
of
accolades
she
has
been
getting
right
through
the
year
so
far
pretty
much
shows
that.
Now
with
her
in
Humpty
Sharma
Ki
Dulhania,
it
only
helps
the
film
since
family
audience
really
like
her."
Meanwhile
this
is
his
second
film
in
the
title
role,
one
waits
to
see
how
audience
give
him
thumbs
up
again
after
Main
Tera
Hero.
