It
goes
without
saying
that
John
Abraham
would
have
received
'many
many'
wedding
gifts!
But
one
of
the
best
gifts
that
John
would
have
received
is
a
script
by
Shoojit
Sircar...and
that
too
much
in
advance!
Shoojit
Sircar
had
a
perfect
script
for
Johnny
Boy
and
that
he
delivered
himself
at
the
actors'
doorstep
a
little
before
the
wedding.
Now,
if
you
are
wondering
what
the
gift
was,
don't
tear
your
hair
apart
since
we
are
here
to
keep
you
updated!
Well....
Shoojit
Sircar's
next
will
be
with
John
Abraham
in
the
lead.
The
film
is
a
biopic
based
on
the
victory
of
Mohun
Bagan
against
East
Yorkshire
Regiment
on
July
29,
1911.
Mohun
Bhagan
was
the
first
Indian
under
British
rule
to
have
won
the
IFA
Shield.
Another
interesting
fact
is
that
Mohun
Bhagan
and
his
team
played
barefoot
in
folded
dhotis
in
comparison
to
their
British
counterparts
who
wore
shorts
and
boots.
Another
interesting
fact
is
that
both
John
and
Sircar
love
football,
and
they
both
play
football
if
they
are
not
shooting.
Speaking
about
the
script,
Shoojit
Sircar
said,
"Though
John
did
not
quite
unveil
his
wedding
plans,
I
knew
something
like
this
was
about
to
happen.
So,
I
gifted
him
the
script
in
advance.
And
yes,
he
loved
it.
Mohun
Bagan's
win
is
an
amazing
story;
for
me,
it's
the
real
'Lagaan'."
The
script
is
written
by
Soumik
Sen
of
Gulaab
Gang
fame
starring
Madhuri
Dixit-Nene
and
Juhi
Chawla.
Well,
Aamir
Khan
won
the
hearts
of
the
audience
and
critics
by
giving
a
stupendous
performance
in
the
film
Lagaan
(similar
to
this
script).
Will
John
too
be
able
to
silence
his
critics
with
this
biopic?
It
remain
to
be
seen.....
