OMG! Varun Dhawan Gets Slapped 22 Times

Actor Varun Dhawan is all set with his upcoming film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania which the young actor claims to be a tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Varun romances actress Alia Bhatt in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania but unlike the hero in DDLJ, Varun gets slapped 22 times in the film.

Varun who plays the role of a Delhi boy in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania gets slapped as many as 22 times in the film and the actor is in fact proud of it.

"I know it sounds funny. While actors flaunt saying that they have kissed the actress several times, I can say that I have been slapped 22 times in the film," said Varun Dhawan.

Varun also said that at one point of time he was fed up getting slaps in the film and was confused whether he was hero or villain in the film. "I too was surprised to see that whoever comes in the scene, puts a slap on my face and goes. I once asked the director that whether I am the hero or villain in the film as everyone comes and puts a slap on my face. But then the director convinced me that this was the demand of the script," Varun said.

However, Varun who received slaps in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania candidly says that he took revenge of all the slaps by slapping Alia many times off-screen.

Although, Varun prefers to flaunt the slapping scenes in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania but the actor also had some kissing scenes with Alia Bhatt in the film.

The film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania directed by Shashank Khaitan starring Varun and Alia is set to release on July 11th.
