Mardaani
has
decided
to
stand
up
for
the
real
life
female
officers.
Rani
Mukerji
recently
visited
several
Crime
Branch
offices
and
expressed
discontent
at
the
existing
situation
of
the
lady
officers.
While
preparing
for
the
role
of
a
Crime
Branch
officer
for
the
film
Mardaani,
Rani
Mukerji
visited
some
Crime
Branch
officers
where
she
noticed
that
the
female
officers
were
not
given
basic
facilities
like
separate
washrooms.
Being
disgusted
with
the
situation,
Rani
decided
to
bring
the
matter
to
the
notice
of
the
concerned
authorities
and
appeal
to
the
Police
Commissioners
of
various
jurisdictions
to
arrange
basic
facilities
to
the
female
cops,
especially
separate
washrooms.
Rani
Mukerji
will
be
seen
playing
the
role
of
a
tough
Crime
Branch
officer
in
the
film
Mardaani,
the
trailer
of
which
was
launched
recently.
The
film
Mardaani
directed
by
Pradeep
Sarkar
will
hit
the
theatres
on
August
22nd.
