Hrithik Roshan Stands Up For Jammu & Kashmir Flood Victims
While, several inhabitants of Jammu and Kashmir are struggling to fight the floods in the valley, actor Hrithik Roshan has initiated a step to help the victims.
Hrithik Roshan has written an open letter urging his fans and people to contribute to the relief fund which will be used to render food, shelter and other basic amenities to the Jammu and Kashmir victims.
Hrithik Roshan who will soon be seen in the film Bang Bang also expressed gratitude to Kunal Kapoor who helped him in taking up the noble step. Hi, I am Hritik Roshan. I've been watching the news coverage of the floods in Kashmir and it's saddening, the number of people whose homes and lives have just been wiped out. Having been to J&K multiple times and having shot numerous films there I know the challenges the people will be facing given this devastation. I want to do something to help them. And I know there are people just like me, who want to help too.
The Cause
So please join me. Let's raise funds for the people of Kashmir together. Let's stand by our countrymen and do whatever we can to help them deal with their losses. We can help them gradually rebuild their homes and their lives. We CAN make a difference together.
The Funds
The funds we raise will go towards providing those affected by the floods with medicine, food and shelter until they are able to pick their lives back up and move on from this catastrophe. The funds raised will go to CARE INDIA who will be utlilizing the same to dispurse survival kits to the affected families and individuals in J&K. The kits would include basic amenitites for survival such as Tarpaulin, Mats, Hygiene Kit(Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary Napkins & Disinfectants Soaps)and blankets.
