Superstar Shahrukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty are likely to team up once again. Film Chennai Express starring Shahrukh Khan was the blockbuster of the year 2013, which was directed by Rohit Shetty.
Reports were that, SRK and Rohit Shetty are planning to make the sequel of Chennai Express, but the director denied the reports.
Sources was quoted, "After the release of Singham Returns in August, Rohit plans to take a small break. Then he will start work on the pre-production of his next film, which is most likely to feature Shah Rukh in the lead. The project will go on the floors next year. By that time, SRK would have also wrapped up a major part of Maneesh's (Sharma) film. But Rohit and SRK are yet to sit down and work out the details."
Shetty is currently busy shooting for Singham Returns with actor Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor. Rumours were that after giving a blockbuster film with SRK, Rohit was not willing to work with Devgan but, the director called the rumours false.
Shetty, 40, has teamed up with actor Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor for the third time, after the trio gave the hit Golmaal franchise.
Shooting for Singham Returns is still on, but the promo is likely to be released at an event in Mumbai on July 11. Film is scheduled for August 2014 release.
