Actor Salman Khan graced the concluding day of Thums-Up Being Human VEER, an awareness and fund raising campaign on 'Unleasing the inner potential of persons with disabilities' at Mumbai on March 23.
Speaking at the event, Salman Khan on behalf of Being Human Foundation said, "We started the Thums-Up Being Human VEER initiative to help empower the differently abled persons by providing them with the right set of skills.This initiative will help over 1000 people with disabilities find employment. We thank everyone involved for their support."
The campaign started on January 26 in collaboration with CNN-IBN and American India Foundation. Salman Khan along with some NGOs and business houses came up with an interaction session to discuss the challenges faced by the differently abled persons and the opportunities available to them. several other celebrities also offered support to the cause.

Names of certain renowned persons were highlighted during the campaign who proved their dedication and ability in spite of being disabled in some other aspects. They were classical dancer and actress Sudha Chandran, paraplegic swimmer Prasanta Karmakar, Lt Gen Vijay Oberoi.

The campaign has been successful in grabbing pledges worth INR 75 Lakhs towards it's concluding day.
