There
was
a
lot
of
hype
behind
the
movie
based
on
the
life
of
Salman
Khan
and
Sanjay
Dutt's
fans.
Munna
Bhai,
Sallu
Bhai,
a
docu-drama,
being
directed
by
Muazzam
Beg,
is
now
shelved,
thanks
to
Salman's
office
which
threatened
the
film
maker
of
a
legal
action
over
allegedly
misusing
his
name.
The
content
of
docu-drama
was
based
on
the
the
fan
following
of
these
two
superstars
of
Bollywood.
Muazzam
Beg
received
a
mail
from
Dabangg
Khan's
office
to
not
to
misuese
his
name.
A
source
close
to
the
Jai
Ho
actor
said,
"We
first
emailed
him
asking
him
to
refrain
from
using
Salman's
name
to
promote
his
film.
But
he
continued
despite
our
mail,
so
we
then
wrote
him
that
we
would
take
legal
action."
Director
Beg
confirms
the
news
by
saying,
"I
have
shot
30
per
cent
of
my
film
and
had
invested
around
R50
lakh
in
the
project.
My
film
was
going
to
tell
a
die-hard
Sallu
fan's
story
and
it
would
have
been
great
if
I
could
make
the
film.
But
I
won't
be
doing
so
now."
He
confesses
that
it
was
his
mistake
that
he
didn't
take
Sallu's
permission
to
make
a
film
on
him
and
his
fans."I
announced
my
film
just
after
the
Supreme
Court
sentenced
Sanjay
Dutt.
There
was
no
objection
from
his
side,
but
Salman
doesn't
approve
of
my
film.
