Alia's Achievement More Laudable Than Mine: Shabana Azmi

After daddy Mahesh Bhatt compared Alia's performance in Highway with that of Shabana Azmi's career-defining work in Arth, the legendary actress came up with even more congratulating words for shinning Alia Bhatt.

According to Shabana, Alia has achieved the same level of expertise in no time which Shabana could do only after spending nine years in the industry and thus, considers Alia as the true inheritor of her talent.

The veteran actress, Shabana Azmi says, "I could not stop myself after watching Alia's performance in Highway and rushed straight to her house to congratulate Alia and her father. I am so very proud of her."

Shabana who won a national award for her performance in Arth also justifies the comparison of Alia with her saying, "Mahesh compares Alia's work in Highway to mine in Arth because he truly believes that his daughter has acclaimed an exceptional level of prowess so early in her career. And Mahesh is right."

The legendary actress went little more further in applauding the Highway actress and said, "Alia's achievement is even more laudable as because I did Arth after nine years of facing the camera, while this little girl has done it in her second film. She possesses both vulnerability and insouciance."

Although Alia has not been blessed with any national award yet for her all round applauding piece of work in Highway; being compared to and receiving such praising words from one of the finest talents in the industry like Shabana Azmi who has scores of national and international awards in her credit is no less than an award for fresh and cheerful Alia.
