Shahrukh Khan starrer Happy New Year got the biggest opening any Bollywood movie has got at the Indian Box Office. The film released on October 24th and people flooded to theatres to watch the movie but unfortunately the critics didn't find the movie that great.
Several critics from our country and the rest of world criticized the movie a lot but Shahrukh Khan is not much bothered about this mixed response the movie has received.
The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah. Directed by Farah Khan, the movie has proved to be a big hit at the Box Office but audience feels otherwise.
Shahrukh defends his movie saying, "I respect their views. But I don't make films for such a niche audience of five to seven people. I try to make films for larger spectrum of people."
Many of Shahrukh's films have released on Diwali on questioning his superstitious status, he said, "You get that extra benefit of a day off...I am lucky. The movies (that released during Diwali) have done well, but I am not superstitious like that. Any day is good if I get a good holiday."
