Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year Goes To The Oscar Library

Shahrukh Khan was already in a happy mood as he got a chance to reunite with Salman Khan at Arpita's sangeet ceremony and now there is yet another happy news for him.

Shahrukh's Happy New Year not only proved to be a blockbuster at the Box Office by grossing almost Rs 350 Crore worldwide, now the movie is said to feature in the Oscar library as well.

The movie directed by Farah Khan has made it to the Oscars Library now. Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has officially selected the screenplay of Happy New Year for it's permanent Core Collection.

The cast of the film, Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah are super elated with this big news.

Not only is their movie minting money in it's fourth week of release, the film has now joined the prestigious collection of films that feature in the library. The list of the films has grown to include scripts for more than 11,000 produced films spanning the years 1910 to the present.

These films will be accessible to students, filmmakers, writers, actors and others from the field of cinema, for the purpose of research.
