Sonam Kapoor: Rekha Exposed Me In Khoobsurat

The makers of the film Khoobsurat featuring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan released earlier the posters and then the motion poster. Finally, the makers have come out with the trailer. From the trailer, Sonam Kapoor's role in the film is chirpy and a clumsy girl who is royally misfit.

The film almost draws similarities from the Hollywood movie The Princess Diaries done by Anne Hathway. Sonam Kapoor who is a hopeless romantic meets the Rajput prince Fawad Khan who is the complete opposite and also engaged to someone else.

Sonam Kapoor at the trailer launch said, "Mrinalni, character that I play in the film is very similar to my real life. So many scenes are taken from my real life. Rekha knew me very well and she actually exposed me in Khoobsurat. I don't think, I can do justice to any work Rekha has done and I wanted to be part of Khoobsurat."

She also added, " I grew up watching Hrishikesh Mukherjee movies and this is a tribute to him."

While the Pakistani model-turned actor Fawad Khan when questioned about the tweets from Pakistan accusing him of doing injustice to their country said, " Those people whom you all talk about are only a small group. So, whenever people from India go to Pakistan and when people from Pakistan come here, they criticise something or other. I don't want to talk about this and I choose not to comment."

Fawad further added, " I have seen Rekha ji's Khoobsurat and I have not taken anything from Rakesh Roshan Ji's character, as he is a talented actor who cannot be copied."

Khoobsurat produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor will be releasing on September 19.
