SRK To Play Major Dhyan Chand On Screen

Shahrukh Khan is likely to play the role of the legendary Hockey player Dhyan Chand on the big screen. Actor Abhishek Bachchan expressed his opinion and said that he would love to watch SRK playing Hockey on the big screen.

Abhishek Bachchan was quoted, "A sportsman whose life will be fantastic on screen is Major Dhyan Chand. It will be an unbelievable story. These are the stories that need to be told. I told Shah Rukh Khan to make a film on it and play the protagonist, because he looks a lot like him."

Reports were that some filmmakers are working on the biopic of Major Dhyan Chand and Shahrukh was also approached for the role, but no official announcement was made.

Biopic on the Olympian Milkha Singh titled as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag received overwhelming response which released last year. Actress Priyanka Chopra is playing the role of Olympian boxer Mary Kom in the upcoming biopic which will hit theatres on September 5.

For the first time, Abhishek Bachchan will share the screen space with Shahukh Khan in the film Happy New Year which is directed by Farah Khan.
