Stars Can Spread Awareness More Easily: Kajol

She might not be seen in movies now but actress Kajol is very much into social service. Kajol who currently is associated with a social mission- Lifebuoy 'Help A Child Reach 5' says that stars can spread greater awareness about social issues as their voice is capable to reach larger population.

"I feel it is easier for an actor or actress to spread more awareness as they are popular among the masses. People listen to them and it helps a lot to make a difference," said Kajol. Kajol has been detached with the Big Screen since her marriage with Ajay Devgan but she has kept herself occupied with 'Help A Child Reach 5' campaign since last year. The campaign aims at spreading awareness about the importance of handwahsing among children so that maximum children can at least reach the age of five.

Kajol opined that child health is an issue which has not received the necessary attention in India. "I strongly feel that children are not taken seriously in our country. We have to give utmost importance to their health," said Kajol. She further urged people to develop the habits of hand-washing among their children as it is the best prevention of diseases like diarrhea and pneumonia.

Kajol currently is a mother of two children Nysa Devgan and Yug Devgan with whom Kajol claims to be very strict when it comes to health issues.
