Subhash Ghai Added To My Growth: Imtiaz Ali

Film director, Imtiaz Ali who has been enjoying all rounds of applause for his recent hit Highway, said that Subhash Ghai made a huge contribution to his growth in the field of film making.

"I am here to congratulate Subhash Ghai and his entire team of Kaanchi. Subhash Ghai contributed a lot to my growth and movie-making," said Ali, who Thursday attended the trailer launch of Ghai's upcoming Bollywood movie, Kaanchi which is scheduled to release on 25 April, 2014.

"I don't think there is any director as successful as him. I have seen Hero 25 times. You can see influence of Subhash Ghai's films in my films as well," added the director of hits like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal and recently Highway.

Subhash Ghai's movie Kaanchi is scheduled to release on 25 April, 2014 and will host a fresh face Mishti in the lead role, opposite to Kartik Tiwari. Veteran actors like Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty will also be seen in the movie. The movie Kaanchi is all about a rural girl and her fight against injustice.
