The Nation's fourth highest civilian award, Padma Shri, was given to Vidya Balan, who was over the moon.
Vidya Balan (36), whose films such as Ishqiya, Paa and No One Killed Jessica, which have got both commercial and critically acclaimed, said that it felt unreal to have received such a prestigious award. "Everyone is feeling very happy and proud. As for me, I'm just feeling grateful," she said.
The national award-winning actor never imagined she would receive this prestigious Padma Shri. "With a film award, there is a nomination process, so you know there's a possibility. Here, there was nothing of the sort. It was a wonderful surprise," said Vidya earlier in an interview.
Bollywood bombshell, who has never bothered about her weight issues is in fact so confident in carrying herself with that oomph factor. Recently, she was rumoured to be pregnant by opting out of many films in her kitty.
