What Made Aishwarya Miss Initial Day Of Cannes Fest?

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to grace the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2014 but the former Miss World has missed the event this time.

It has been learnt that Aishwarya could not reach Cannes 2014 on May 16 as planned due to Air Traffic Control Strike in France.

Aishwarya was supposed to walk the red carpet at the 67th Cannes Film Festival but the Bachchan bahu could not make it to Cannes as the flight from London to Nice was delayed due to the strike.

It is to be mentioned, Ash happens to be the brand ambassador of L'Oreal Paris and has been representing the brand at Cannes Festival since the last 13 years. However, taking cognizance of the unfortunate miss this year, the L'Oreal Paris team are planning to arrange the red carpet walk for Aishwarya on an alternate date.

General Manager of L'Oreal Paris India, Manashi Guha said, "Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is truly a global icon for L'Oreal Paris and has been attending Cannes on behalf of the brand for 13 years now. While, the delay has been unfortunate, we are making arrangements that Aishwarya attends the event on an alternate date and we are sure that she will dazzle as always."

Aishwarya was scheduled to walk the read carpet at Cannes Film Festival on May 16th and May 21st for L'Oreal Paris but as the first day got a miss, the team will confirm the alternate date soon.
