Did you that this was the first film to cross the 1 billion mark at the Box office and if that was not enough, it was one of the highest grossing Hindi film ever till recently when PK, Dhoom 3 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan broke it.
Hum Aapke Hain Koun released in Liberty cinema in Mumbai and ran for 125 weeks, which is quite an achievement for a Hindi movie to run that long in theaters at that time.
A special screening of the movie was even held at the president house for the President of India at the time, Sri Shankar Dayal Sharma.

Success In Tamil & Telugu
Hum Aapke Hain Koun was super hit in Telugu as well, where it was dubbed as Premalayam, it crossed 25 week mark in 7 centers and 100 days mark in 14 centers in Andhra Pradesh. The movie was also dubbed in Tamil and obtained immense success.
In Bellevue theater, London, the film ran successfully for 50 weeks, it was booked only for 3 weeks as it was going to get renovated, but seeing the collection of the movie, they postponed the renovation plan.
Even in Toronto's Albine cinema, the movie ran for 75 weeks, something even many Hollywood movies could not accomplish.
Anupam Kher re-enacted the Sholay scene of Dharmendra which everybody to this day remember, but did you know that at the time, the actor's face was almost paralysed and so he chose to do the scene of Dharmendra.
