Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Was Not The Ultimate Choice For Sarbjit. Guess Who It Was?
Recently, the first look poster of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Sarbjit has come out and no doubt, it looks very promising. But according to 9XE the director of the film, Omung Kumar asked Vidya to step into Aishwarya's shoe as he was not sure whether Aishwarya will be continuing the film or not. "Aishwarya has had a few creative differences with Omung," revealed a source.
Interestingly, When when Omung narrated the script to Vidya, she even gave her nod to the director but later, Aishwarya gave her final confirmation on the project. Vidya had also confirmed that she met the director recently over a coffee to discuss Sarbjit project.
"Omung has a few scripts which he won't direct. He has spoken to Vidya regarding one or two such stories but nothing is concrete yet." said a close person to Omung.
Aishwarya's 'Sarbjit'
'Sarbjit' is the biopic of an Indian farmer Sarabjit Singh, who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan. It also casts Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumar in the key roles.
Reportedly, Randeep Hooda will play the title role and Aishwarya will be seen portraying the character of his sister, Dalbir Kaur. While, Richa Chadha will be seen essaying the role of Sarbjit's wife.
Vidya's Teen
On the other side, Vidya Balan is currently busy with the shooting of Sujoy Ghosh's Teen, which also casts Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles. Reportedly, Vidya will be seen playing the role of a 'cop', which is happening for the time in her career.
