But Akshay Kumar has just now proved with his epic reply that he doesn't need to reserve any festival day to release his movie!
Recently, while interacting with the media, Akshay was asked
whether he has any concrete plan to release his films during the
Republic day, as his upcoming film, Airlift will release on January 22, 2016. To
which Akshay replied, "I can come out any time of the year, why
only Republic Day? But yes, festival release is definitely
advantageous. It is vacation time, people have money as they get
their bonus. So obviously releasing movies during festive occasions
help, there is no denying that. Business is good then."
Later, when Akshay was quizzed about why doesn't he reserve any
festival day for his release, he replied, "I never get the festival
dates for my releases, they go away fast. What to do? The bookings
for these festivals are done much in advance, almost two years in
advance, then where do I get the dates?"We wonder what
