Arjun Rampal Summoned By Mumbai Police For Visiting Imprisoned Gangster

Arjun Rampal has been summoned by Mumbai police in connection with him visiting an imprisoned gangster Arun Gawli.

The JJ Marg police station got to know that Arjun Rampal met Gawli at JJ Hospital last month. It is believed that the actor who plays 'Gawli' in his under-production film Daddy spent almost an hour with the don in the hospital's out-patient Department on December 29, last year.

The gangster is serving a life term in connection with the murder of corporator Kamlakar Jamsandekar in 2008. Arjun didn't have a prior permission from the police to meet him.

The gangster was in judicial custody when he was brought in to the hospital for a routine health check-up. The team of policemen who had accompanied Arun Gawli to the hospital from Navi Mumbai's Taloja jail are also under scanner and an internal inquiry has also been ordered against them.
