Check Why Deepika Padukone Reads Medical Books

Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of Amitabh Bachchan's daughter in the film Piku. While, Amitabh Bachchan suffers from several health issues in Piku, Deepika has to gather considerable knowledge about medicines.

Deepika Padukone has read a lot of medical books for her role in the film as several scenes require her to treat Amitabh Bachchan's condition.

"Yes I did read a lot of books and had to spend hours going through various health and medical issues...symptoms, solutions, preventions etc. In fact, I have gone through so many of them that I now know the basics of conditions like blood pressure, constipation, etc," said Deepika Padukone.

The movie Piku is a comedy drama, directed by Shoojit Sircar and features Irrfan Khan along with Deepika and Big B.

Trailer of the film was launched some days back which received positive response from all quarters. Piku is slated to release on May 8th this year.
