Dia
Mirza
has
always
come
forth
to
lend
her
voice
and
time
for
a
variety
of
social
initiatives
she
truly
believes
in.
This
time
Dia
has
associated
herself
with
an
NGO
based
in
Delhi
that
works
towards
the
betterment
of
underprivileged
and
giving
them
an
opportunity
to
work
in
creative
sectors.
In
the
year
2015,
given
the
current
scenario,
the
NGO's
efforts
are
skewed
towards
the
efforts
for
gender
equality
and
woman
empowerment.
As
part
of
a
larger
picture
for
the
current
year,
the
NGO
has
planned
a
unique
exhibition
where
writing
works
of
women
and
girls
across
the
world
will
be
showcased
to
reflect
how
similar
they
are,
regardless
of
where
they
hail
from.
Dia
Mirza
who
has
always
been
vocal
about
her
sentiments
on
gender
bias
and
the
need
to
encourage
woman
empowerment
has
come
on-board
in
a
unique
way
to
support
this
unique
thought.
The
voice
of
this
campaign
is
put
forth
in
the
word
of
Maya
Angelou's
poem
titled
'And
Still
I
Rise'.
Dia
Mirza
has
extended
her
support
by
bringing
together
various
renowned
women
for
this
video
from
different
walks
of
life
to
shoot
a
montage
of
them
reciting
this
powerfully
worded
poem.
The
video
which
features
various
personalities
like
Shbana
Azmi,
Lushin
Dubey,
Vidhusi
Mehra,
Aditi
Roa
Hydri,
Konkana
Sen
Sharma,
Ridhima
Kapoor,
voice
some
of
the
concerned
fears
and
hopes
of
various
young
girls
for
the
future.
