Directed
by
Mohit
Suri
and
produced
by
Mahesh
Bhatt,
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani
could
not
impress
the
critics
and
the
film
received
quite
a
number
of
negative
reviews.
After
the
launch
of
its
trailer,
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani
was
expected
to
have
a
good
start
at
the
Box
Office,
but
the
film's
business
has
been
quite
low.
Now,
Mahesh
Bhatt,
who
not
only
produced
the
film
but
also
is
the
writer
of
the
movie,
claims
that
the
critics'
negative
reviews
is
responsible
for
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani's
poor
performance.
In
an
interview,
Mahesh
Bhatt
talked
was
asked
about
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani's
poor
Box
Office
collection,
to
which,
the
film-maker
made
a
rather
philosophical
statement.
"The
people
from
Bharat
are
loving
the
film
but
the
people
from
India
are
not.
So,
while
I
have
no
problems
with
them,
my
only
appeal
to
people
is
recognise
that
in
one
India
there
are
many
Indias
and
we
as
film-makers
must
be
allowed
the
freedom
to
make
films
for
as
many
Indias
that
we
think
exist",
said
Mahesh
Bhatt.
Well,
the
concept
of
Bharat
and
India
is
a
tricky
one
but
it's
not
hard
to
state
that
Vidya
Balan
and
Emraan
Hashmi's
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani
could
not
make
it
big,
both
critically
as
well
as
commercially.
