Here Is Why Farhan Akhtar Opted Himself Out Of Shahrukh Khan's Raees!

Shahrukh Khan starrer Raees is in tremendous buzz since its first look poster and teaser has been released but do you know initially it was Farhan Akhtar who has been roped in to play the role of a cop, which is now being played by one of the finest actors, Nawazzudin Siddiqui.

Interestingly, at the trailer of Farhan's upcoming film, Wazir has been released yesterday (November 28, 2015) and in Wazir also Farhan will be seen playing the role of a cop. So when Farhan was being asked by the reporters, if playing the role of a cop again was the reason why he did not do "Raees", Farhan said, "Yes, absolutely right. Raees was supposed to happen at a very different time. It was not about not wanting to play a police officer in it, it was about not wanting to do it immediately. So it would've been the next thing I would have shot for (after Wazir)."

He added, "I was a bit uncomfortable with that. The two are completely different projects but more or less you're playing the same kind of character. The foundation is the same so I didn't want to do it. But it's fantastic because we have Nawazuddin who is playing that character, he is a fantastic actor."

Shahrukh Khan starrer Raees, is slated to be released on July 3, 2016.
