Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha, is getting a really good response from moviegoers, and the movie has collected around 50 Crores worldwide at the box office, in just 4 days of its release. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, have given a stellar performance, making it a delight to watch.
Tamasha, has touched many people on a personal level, about how important it is to find your own voice, when the outside world expects you to adhere to socetial norms. Imtiaz Ali, was quoted as saying,
"This film was made with a view that the audience is not stupid. I often feel they are more advanced than filmmakers. We sometimes try to put our mistakes, our incapacitates upon them. The heartwarming reaction to Tamasha, hopefully, will dispel that notion that the audience does not understand or you can fool them."
Imtiaz Ali, believes that a man can grow only to a certain level, and then needs a woman's touch and support to go much further in life. The director, also says that Deepika Padukone is magic, and carries feminine energy with her. Imtiaz was quoted as saying,
"She is the grace in the movie. She is like the muse. In old texts, there is always this invocation to a feminine energy, she is that. I have seen women to be like that in life. You can grow only so much before a woman comes to take you to the next level, who touches you."
Imtiaz Ali, claims that he has personally seen people around him change for the better, all by the grace of women in their life, the director was quoted as saying,
"It can be a destructive relationship or constructive...it is not necessary. A woman's touch is such a cliche, but it operates. I have seen this happening around me."
