OMG! Deepika Padukone To Quit Acting & Start Producing Films?
Deepika Padukone, is soaking in the success of her newly released movie Tamasha, starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The actress, would of course not stop acting, but says, she would love to be a movie producer soon, as she feels she is capable of managing and organising things.
Tamasha, collected 38.23 Crores, at the box office during the weekends and also raked in around 50 Crores worldwide. Deepika Padukone, says she does not want to be a producer just to mint money, but wants to put things together and organise things well.
Deepika Padukone was quoted as saying,
"I want to venture into production and be a producer or line producer some day because I feel I have that kind of personality. I like to organise, put things together and make things happen. I don't want to be a producer because I want to make money."
Deepika Padukone, also says that she would have loved to produce her movies if given a chance such as Tamasha, Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail and Piku because she feels these movies are very special to her heart. Deepika, was quoted as saying,
"Because these films are very close to my heart and they are special"
Many Bollywood actresses, such as Shilpa Shetty, Lara Dutta, Dia Mirza and Anushka Sharma have turned producers and made successful movies at the box office. We're sure Deepika Padukone, would do an amazing job as a producer as well.
Deepika Padukone, is now gearing up for the promotions of her upcoming flick, Bajirao Mastani, starring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. The movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Bajirao Mastani, is all set to clash along Rohit Shetty's Dilwale, starring Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon on December 18, 2015.
