A
lot
of
rumours
have
been
surrounding
Bombay
Velvet
from
the
get
go
of
the
movie's
announcement.
Recent
reports
had
revealed
that
the
film
is
going
to
be
postponed
once
again
but
director
Anurag
is
denying
it
all.
Director
Anurag
Kashyap
says
that
his
much-awaited
period
drama
Bombay
Velvet
has
been
postponed
again.
He
tweeted,
"Bombay
Velvet
is
releasing
on
May
15th
and
is
not
postponed...
Don't
believe
all
the
stories
in
the
papers...
Judge
the
film
when
you
see
it."
The
film
that
stars
Ranbir
Kapoor-Anushka
Sharma
in
lead
roles
will
finally
be
releasing
on
its
scheduled
date
of
May
15.
The
film
that
also
marks
the
acting
debut
of
director
Karan
Johar
was
delayed
due
to
the
pending
VFX
work.
Bombay
Velvet
is
based
on
historian
Gyan
Prakash's
book
'Mumbai
Fables'
which
narrates
the
story
of
how
the
city
in
'60s
became
a
metropolis
against
the
backdrop
of
love,
greed,
violence
and
jazz
music.
With
Raveena
Tandon
out
of
the
film,
wonder
who
Anurag
Kashyap
will
be
roping
in
to
replace
her
and
re-shoot
all
the
scenes
that
were
earlier
done
by
Raveena.
