Pakistan
has
banned
Saif
Ali
Khan
and
Katrina
Kaif
starrer
Phantom
because
it
hurts
Pakistan's
sentiments.
Irony
is
that
the
most
wanted
terrorist
Hafiz
Saeed,
who
has
a
$50
million
bounty
on
his
head
has
filed
a
petition
seeking
a
ban
on
the
film.
Saif
Ali
Khan
is
visibly
upset
about
the
thought
process
of
Pakistan
and
the
reason
for
banning
the
film.
"If
you
try
making
a
film
which
portrays
a
certain
element
of
truth,
something
that
makes
Pakistan
a
little
bit
uncomfortable,
they
will
ban
it." says
Saif.
Lahore
High
Court
cleared
a
petition
and
decided
to
ban
the
film
in
Pakistan.
Filmmaker
Kabir
Khan,
actor
Saif
Ali
Khan
and
Katrina
Kaif
have
expressed
their
displeasure
towards
the
Pakistani
court
for
considering
a
terrorist's
plea
to
ban
the
film.
This
is
not
the
first
time
Saif's
movie
is
banned
in
Pakistan,
Agent
Vinod
was
caught
in
a
similar
circumstances
and
was
banned
in
the
neighboring
country.
When
the
movie
Race
was
released
in
Pakistan,
it
ended
up
making
a
lot
of
money,
recollects
Saif
Ali
Khan.
Now
that
Phantom
is
banned,
people
will
eventually
end
up
watching
it
in
pirated
DVD's
so
there's
no
point
in
banning
the
movie.
Reportedly
,Hafiz
Saeed
is
India's
number
one
terrorist
and
most
wanted
man,
he
masterminded
the
26/11
attacks
and
the
movie
Phantom
is
based
on
the
same
story
of
killing
the
mastermind
who
plotted
the
attacks.
The
recently
caught
terrorist
in
India,
Yakub
Naved
confirmed
that
Hafiz
Saeed
sent
him
to
stage
attacks
on
Indian
soil.
Phantom
is
slated
to
hit
the
theatres
in
India
on
August
28th,
2015.
