Salman Khan's 13 years old hit and run case verdict to be out today! If found guilty, he could be facing up to 10 years jail term.

Salman is one of the most bankable actor in the industry whose films from Dabangg to Kick have minted crores of money. For a industry that is starving to give a huge hit, Salman getting jailed will be a big loss.

"It's not just about the films he has in hand. It's about the films he will be making in the next five years," Shailesh Kapoor of Ormax Media, which tracks Bollywood releases.

He further added, "It will be a lost opportunity, and given how much Bollywood is struggling these days, it will hit where it hurts."

Khan is accused of driving over five men sleeping on a Mumbai pavement in September 2002, causing the death of one person. While he claims that he wasn't driving the vehicle, majority of the witnesses have said otherwise.

Salman's driver even confessed to Mumbai court that he was driving the vehicle on the day this unfortunate incident took place, claiming Khan was in the passenger seat.

But you never know what the verdict of the court will be. He can appeal in the higher court if the verdict is not in his favour. Not just this case, his Arms Act case that was registered on him for shooting endangered animals' hearing is also scheduled for this month.

May 14th is the next hearing in this case when Salman is allowed to introduce six fresh witness in connection with this case.

With over Rs 200 crores riding on the actor, wonder what the verdict will be. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is planned for Eid release this year while Prem Ratan Dhan Payo for Diwali.
