Dilwale actor, Shahrukh Khan and the team have truly done a 'dilwala' act for their country.
Many are aware of the situation owing to Chennai floods and how many of them are suffering, with no food shelter or water! While many south Indian celebrities did make a small contribution towards helping the victims, the latest celeb to have joined the list is none other than King Khan.
A press-release said to be of Red Chillies that is doing the rounds on social media sites reads, "We are all deeply affected by the devastation wreaked on the city of Chennai by the fury of nature. At the same time, the resilience of the people of Chennai and the way in which the community has come together to help each other and face this adversity is commendable and makes us all feel proud."
It further says, "On behalf of Red Chillies Entertainment and Team Dilwale, please accept out a contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund. We appreciate the massive effort undertaken by your government and everyone in Chennai, to deal with this calamity and we hope our contribution will help in a small way."

While there has been no official confirmation on this, Shahrukh Khan did tweet, "May God look after all our brothers & sisters in Chennai. Nature's fury is strong may we all have the strength to fight it. Insha Allah," sympathizing with the situation!
