Vidya
Balan
is
undoubtedly
one
of
the
finest
actresses
of
Bollywood
but
her
last
released
films
could
not
make
much
impact
on
the
Box
Office.
The
versatile
actress
who
is
currently
gearing
up
for
the
promotions
of
her
upcoming
film
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani
initially
thought
if
her
marriage
had
affected
her
career.
After
the
success
of
The
Dirty
Picture
in
2011,
Vidya
Balan
got
married
to
businessman
Siddharth
Roy
Kapur
in
2012.
Vidya
Balan's
last
releases
post
her
marriage
include
Ghanchakkar,
Shaadi
Ke
Side
Effects
and
Bobby
Jasoos,
none
of
which
could
leave
a
mark
at
the
Box
Office.
While,
Vidya
Balan
is
optimistic
about
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani,
the
actress
said
that
she
once
had
a
thought
that
marriage
might
have
worked
against
her
career.
"My
past
three
films
did
not
work.
The
thought
did
cross
my
mind
as
to
whether
my
marriage
did
impact
my
career," said
Vidya
at
an
event.
However,
she
also
added,
"But
I
think
the
success
of
a
film
has
to
do
with
whether
the
movie
is
good
or
not.
There
are
also
multiple
variables
that
contribute
for
the
success
of
the
film."
Vidya
Balan
also
cited
examples
of
actresses
like
Kajol,
Kareena
Kapoor
Khan
and
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
asserting
that
it's
a
false
notion
which
suggests
marriage
destroys
career
in
Bollywood.
Vidya
Balan's
upcoming
film
Hamari
Adhuri
Kahani
also
features
Emraan
Hashmi
and
Rajkummar
Rao
and
is
slated
to
release
on
June
12th.
