Tensions between India and Pakistan are growing by the day after the Uri attacks and several groups have protested and threathened film-makers not to cast Pakistani actors in Indian movies. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil faced severe backlash for casting Fawad Khan and after a lot of hullabaloo the film managed to hit the theatres successfully.
Dear Zindagi was also in trouble for casting Pakistani actor Ali Zafar and it is reported that Karan Johar has roped in Tahir Bhasin to replace Ali Zafar in the film. A source close to the movie revealed, "Ali Zafar has already been replaced in the film and he has been replaced with Tahir Bhasin, Rani Mukerji's nemesis from Mardaani. "
The source further commented, "Yesterday, a dance shoot was underway of the film with Alia Bhatt and Tahir. It's an Arijit Singh number." But the point is, Pakistani star Ali Zafar is paying the price for the ban on Pakistani artists, unfortunately.
Dear Zindagi will see Alia Bhatt romancing four men and Ali Zafar was one of them. He will now be replaced by Tahir Bhasin. Shahrukh Khan plays the role of a love guru for Alia Bhatt in the film. Dear Zindagi is all set to hit the theatres on November 25, 2016.
